Saturday November 2nd a meeting was held and the reunion dates were set for October 9 - 12, 2003.  All
of the details for the 40th Reunion are in this letter.  Pictures from the meeting and more information
about our class can be seen by going to our webpage @ 1963.html.

There was a lot of consideration given to setting up the reunion and all suggestions were considered.  If
you have any questions or would like to discuss any part of the reunion, please contact me anytime,
preferably by phone.

We have plenty of time to tweak most parts of the reunion; however the date had to be set and based on
a survey of all of our class members it was determined to hold the reunion on a "Hickman Home Football
Game Weekend" in October, rather than the usual August weekend.

Please give this REUNION your utmost attention.  It is very important that you let me know immediately
if you DO or DO NOT plan to attend.  I must have a good idea of how many will attend before I put my
name on the dotted lines for a few thousand dollars.  And in order to procure hotel rooms for these
dates for our reunion, due to this being an MU Home Football Weekend too, I MUST HAVE your
cooperation on this matter.

Please send your BIOGRAPHY and a recent PICTURE of yourself.  (You can mail the BIOGRAPHY and
PICTURE with your check or email it to me @ 63classpic@kewpie.net)  Both your BIOGRAPHY and
PICTURE are needed even if you can't attend as the Class webpage 1963.html is
the "New Electronic '63 Class Directory."   The Directory of Biographies & Pictures will be made available
on CD with lots of 60's music and address and phone information (by request – price not yet
determined).  No phone or address information will be used on the webpage and your email will be
withheld if you desire, but your name and your picture from the Cresset are already on the webpage.
There are lots of other goodies there too, if you haven't noticed......

I am so thankful to be here and to be able to do what I do for the "Class of 1963" and "Hickman High
School."  Humor me and come give me a hug and spend the weekend with me in the fall of 2003 as we
close in on our 6th decade together.  I have been to more Hickman Reunions than any other Kewpie in
the history of Hickman High School and I echo the comment I have heard at many of them, "I will never
miss another reunion as long as I live."  Since our last reunion in 1998, there have been over 60 deaths
directly related to our class, either classmates or family members of our classmates.

I sincerely hope that everyone will be able to come.  Based on the feelings I have, from having talked
with many of you, I honestly believe there will be a great turnout at this, our 40th Reunion.  If you are
comfortable with these plans, please send your CHECK immediately and send your BIOGRAPHY &
PICTURE yesterday!!!!!!  PLEASE, I said PLEASE, send your BIOGRAPHY & PICTURE even if you can't attend.
I want our directory to include every one who receives this request.

Please come join your "Class of 1963" in October of next year in celebration of the 40th year of our class
and the celebration of our lives.

I must take care of lodging arrangements right away because our reunion is the same weekend as the
MU-NEBRASKA home football game. I can get a block of rooms but I need an exact amount of rooms
needed, because once I commit, I will be stuck with the bill to pay for the rooms.  The room rate on
football weekends is $119.00 per night and our rate will be $79.00 per night or less (with a minimum of
2 nights).  I am working on a little better rate, but it will be easier to negotiate once I have a count.  You
must not call the Ramada direct as the reservations department won’t know about this package.  All you
need to do is contact me for now and I will be responsible for the rooms until later next year when you
can use a credit card to confirm your reservation.  I will be glad to take care of arrangements but you
must let me know immediately if you will want a room at the Ramada Inn for the REUNION.

    I ask that everyone make a $60.00 per person donation to attend the reunion which will include
Horsd'Oeuvres Friday night, School & Bus Tour Saturday morning, picnic Saturday, dinner & dance
Saturday night and brunch on Sunday morning.  It would be appreciated if you send your donation as
soon as you can.  All proceeds from the reunion, less minor operating expenses, will once again be given
to Hickman High School, in a manner to be determined by the reunion committee.  (If you can afford to
and care to make a larger donation, that would be great!  Do not miss this reunion because of the cost,
please contact me to make arrangements.  I hope this will be the largest attendance we have ever had
and I sincerely hope you will make every effort to join us for this REUNION!)
